For the illustrator project, I was hoping to communicate the message that the continuance of global warming is actively threatening the penguin population. Their home is rapidly melting, and sooner or later they too with become extinct if awareness is not being spread and if proper action is not taken. This applies to animals all across the globe, but because penguins are my favorite animal, I will be focusing on them. Some current threats include oil spills, marine pollution, diseases, habitat destruction, human disturbance, the rise of sea levels, and ocean acidification. I will attempt to incorporate these threats into the illustration I create, along with the picture of a sad penguin.
